My name is George McCauley, but I'm better known to my friends, family, and clients as Joey—a cherished nickname given to me by my late grandfather. My passion for photography is deeply rooted in my family history. Both my grandfather and my dad were highly involved in the craft, running their own photography company in New York City before moving out west in the early 70s. Growing up immersed in this legacy sparked a lifelong fascination with the camera, which would eventually lead me to pick up the lens professionally.
My personal journey in photography truly began to take shape in 2009, when I developed a profound love for capturing the stillness and grandeur of landscape and wildlife. This genre honed my eye, teaching me patience and the ability to anticipate the perfect moment and composition. Shortly after, in 2011, I began working with a close friend, dabbling in wedding and event photography. This collaboration quickly evolved into a dedicated commitment, where I learned the ins and outs of running a business while focusing on bringing a unique, fresh perspective to every shot.
My expertise lies in my ability to find and execute truly unique shots. I am constantly seeking unconventional angles, compelling light, and the subtle, fleeting moments that others might overlook. Whether I am shooting a vast, open landscape or the intimate exchange at a wedding, my primary commitment is to my clients.
